Answers first
PlumberWashington, explained in eight answers
Is PlumberWashington a plumbing company?
No. PlumberWashington does not hold a contractor licence, does not employ plumbers and does not perform plumbing work. It routes each request to an independent licensed professional, who does the work and contracts with you directly.
Does PlumberWashington charge homeowners anything?
No. PlumberWashington may be compensated by a partner when a homeowner connects with a professional through the site. That does not change what the contractor charges you.
How do I check that a plumber is licensed in Washington?
Search the official register: Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) publishes a public lookup at https://secure.lni.wa.gov/verify/. Ask for the licence number and confirm the name on it matches the company on your paperwork.
Who is responsible if the work goes wrong?
The contractor you hire. Your agreement is with that professional, not with PlumberWashington. That is why every page here links to the licence register and recommends getting the scope in writing.
Does calling create any obligation to hire?
None. A call or a callback request is a conversation, not a contract. Scope, timing and price are only agreed if you decide to proceed with the professional handling Washington.
Are night and weekend calls handled differently in Washington?
Requests route around the clock, but most contractors price after-hours work differently. Ask for the after-hours rate and a committed arrival window before agreeing to a dispatch.
What information speeds up a plumbing work callback?
Three things: where the water or problem is showing, whether the supply is shut off, and the property type — slab, crawl space or basement. With those, a pro covering Washington can triage the urgency and bring the right parts.
How should a plumbing work quote be compared?
Line by line against scope: what is included, what is excluded, who pulls the permit, and whether haul-away and restoration are inside the number. The cost guides on this site list published third-party ranges so any quote can be sanity-checked.
